The Ministry of Happier™ · Care Homes

Music wellbeing sessions for elderly care homes.

Delivered by Frven Lim across North London and Hertfordshire. Ukulele-based, joyful, and no musical experience needed — for residents or staff.

    What is HappierMusic?

HappierMusic is a facilitated music wellbeing programme that brings ukuleles into care homes to create joyful, participatory sessions for residents.

Rather than passive entertainment, this is Active Musical Engagement — residents pick up instruments, play together, and experience the direct mood and social benefits of making music as a group.

Research consistently shows that active music participation reduces agitation in dementia, boosts mood, stimulates memory recall, and builds social connection. HappierMusic puts those benefits into a structured, repeatable programme that fits easily into your existing activities calendar.

    What a session looks like

Frven arrives with ukuleles — no equipment needed from the home

Residents are gently introduced to basic playing in the first 10 minutes

Group music-making and singing of familiar, nostalgic songs

Sessions run 60–90 minutes, seated, at residents' own pace

Suitable for all abilities including dementia and limited mobility

Ends with a sense of shared achievement and visible resident uplift

    Session #0 taster — £50

New care homes can book a full introductory session for £50 — so you can see HappierMusic in action with your residents before making any commitment. There is no obligation to continue with regular sessions.

After the taster, a regular single session costs £100. A block of six costs £85 per session — £510 in total. Regular sessions include instruments and song books. Discuss a fortnightly or monthly schedule, your residents' needs and practical arrangements before booking.
